A throat mic system specially designed for motorcycle riders and professional motorsport racing teams, the GP3/GP3-X2 Motorcycle Throat Mic combines a superior helmet audio system with IASUS Noise Terminator technology. Every detail represents rider-conscious engineering. The comfortable throat strap expands and contracts to accommodate the rider’s movements and fastens by a unique magnetic breakaway clasp. Included with the GP3/GP3-X2 Motorcycle Headset is one of two XSound Helmet Speaker options, which are optimized acoustically and ergonomically for motorcycle helmets.* The GP3/GP3-X2 system is VOX-compatible for handsfree operation with two-way radios. For non-VOX users, the IASUS Finger PTT --now for mobile phones--allows for easy in-glove access.

*The GP3 comes with XSJ Helmet Speakers, and the GP3-X2 includes our XS2 Helmet Speakers. For users who prefer an alternative, the helmet speakers are removable and may be switched out for any mono or stereo earpiece with a 3.5mm audio plug.

All IASUS throat microphones utilize our Noise Terminator transponder, which is based on technology developed by the military during WWII. Most typical headset communication systems rely on the conventional boom microphone, which uses air as a medium of sound conduction. This traditional method is ineffective in extreme conditions such as high-noise and high-wind environments. The IASUS Gen 3.0 Noise Terminator transponder picks up only voice signals by absorbing the vibrations generated from within the user's neck, without using air as a medium of conduction. In doing so, the transponders are able to effectively eliminate the transmission of anything other than voice signals. The result is direct voice communication free from environmental and wind noise.
